The 5 late Xmas presents Arsenal fans want in January

1. Striker
Olivier Giroud is a great player. He is very good physically, has good touch, brings the midfield into the attack perfectly, drags defenders away, and has an amazing football brain. Giroud also helps very much in the defense (corners) and he is sometimes the only one pressuring the opposition defenders to get rid of the ball. The problem with Giroud is his shooting, he is a striker that cannot control his nerves and emotions.

There has been a lot of times when Giroud has all the time in the world to control the ball, take a shot and get a goal to his name. But he always gets nervous and shoots almost instantly and or passes a headless chicken pass to a team mate. Giroud is the typical unconfident kid that is new to a sport or team, has the perfect opportunity to score and do something but he does not have the confidence so he gets things wrong. This is why we need a striker that suits our play, AND KNOWS HOW TO CREATE SHOTS FOR HIMSELF.
For this reason I would go for Jackson Martinez, Lewandowski, Diego Costa, or maybe even Benteke. I state these choices of strikers because they are good at feeding themselves, and are versatile pacey powerhouses. Jackson Martinez has scored back-heels goals no one ever imagines, Lewandowski always pushes defenders and gets a very hard shot on goal, and Diego Costa always seems to be at the right place at the right time. Benteke is all this but much worse, though with the love for the Arsenal club, Wenger and the hunger for success he has, he would be a great player, though not the striker to push us to the next level. This is why we need one of these 4 strikers. EVEN THOUGH they are cup tied.
2. Winger
Santi Cazorla is a great player, but he is a CAM and unfortunately Özil is right there. Cazorla last year had a bunch of chances created, assists and goals. And Özil can do this and more but Özil needs a player that is like Walcott in the left wing slot. Last year Cazorla had Podolski for this and he was amazing, even this year against Fulham it was the same story and Podolski was a threat. But imagine if we gave Özil someone like Reus, Draxler or Di Maria. Even Giroud would thrive. I do not know if people have noticed this but the way to stop Giroud is by shutting down Walcott, Sagna and Gibbs. I think that if we put Podolski regularly in the starting eleven, Özil will get more assists, Podolski and Walcott goals and Giroud at least a goal.
3. Young CB (Not so important)
We all know Wenger has a plan for the future, at the moment it is:
——————-Sczescny——————
—–Jenk—–?——-Miquel?—Gibbs—
———-Ramsey—–Wilshere————
Walcott———–OX————–Gnabry
—————Sanogo?Akpom?————
We can see that the biggest place where we need a new young player is the CB position. I would say we should get Zouma, Bartra, Tah, Jedvaj, etc. etc. Though this is not something huge, we do need, in my opinion, a CB because all these young players look like players that most likely will stay at Arsenal all their career due to the fact that Arsenal made them and they have spent so much time here that Arsenal is their home. So if we get a young CB like Real Madrid got Varane and unlock a hidden gem, we will have a franchise defender centerpiece.
4. Mertesacker like defender (Rannochia)
When we lose Mertesacker in games the defense becomes chaos. Kos always saves us in the last moment, but you can always see Mert is like his Boss and sometimes in corners he commands the box instead of our own GK. Rannochia is the same thing as Mertesacker though not as good as our BFG. He would learn from Mert and become a very good player, Rannochia also is in his second last year of contract, which means next year he will be looking to extend his contract or come to Arsenal :). I suggest we get him this transfer window, because he is like Mertesacker and teams have still not had an eye on him like he will next year. If we do not buy him this January or in the summer, he sill go to a team like Tottenham, City, Man United and or may even sign a new contract with Inter Milan.
5. Fixture Luck and Nerves
The fixture gods are killing us right now, we are given Everton, Man City, Napoli, Chelsea all in rapid succession. We were given the worse group in the CL and also we are going to play and played a Top 5 team in the FA Cup and Capital One Cup (Chelsea). Also I do not know what happens that when we play a team, they have to be on the form of their lives, Everton came from an amazing run, Liverpool was flying, Man City just beat Bayern Munchen, and we are going to play Newcastle who are very confident at the moment. We even played Aston Villa when they were almost winning against Chelsea(when they were robbed by the ref) and Tottenham away.
Nerves also need to be controlled. We always play a bad game when we need to win. We have controlled Chelsea, Liverpool, Napoli and even Bayern Munich when we are not in a desperate situation, but when we go against Man United and Everton who are good teams but we are more than capable to beat, we can’t even make straight passes. The boys need to control their emotions and pick up points when we most need them. We have had two chances to go 7 or even 10 points clear in the table (Everton and Man United) and we have not made the most of it.
Extra: Get Özil some confidence to shoot.
There are a lot of times when Özil has the chance to shoot but he decides to do a pass that even our own players are confused. When Walcott should have got a penalty against Chelsea, Özil should have just shot. He was through on goal almost. Also if our team knows Özil always does that, why do they just forget about it, try to expect it.
